Jarrah is an exotic hardwood native to Australia, with aninherent clear, crisp response and exceptional projection.Distinct black nickel straight hoops and chrome claws secure a kangaroo hide head,hand-made by Kentville Drums in Australia. The 10” SoundArt tambourine was one of Black Swamp Percussion’s first instruments, reinventing the standard for orchestral tambourines. The 30th Anniversary tambourine serves as a modern interpretation of the classic design and unmatched performance of this premier instrument.
The toasted jingles are heat-treated German Silver, which fuses texture and articulation with the bright and wet characteristic of a standard jingle material. A new voice emerges from a timeless sonority. Unique engraving matches the Sottsass veneer of the 30th Anniversary snare drum, adding a dimension of artistry to the jingle.
Our solid ash shell has been the core of a SoundArt tambourine for 30 years. This limited edition run of tambourines features a contemporary matte white finish over the enduring Ash shell, serving as a canvas for the toasted German Silver jingles and producing a striking impression on stage.
A traditional calf head completes the instrument. Why mess with the success of 30 years?
Each tambourine also ships with an exclusive commemorative token, a final touch marking 30 years of World Class manufacturing from Black Swamp Percussion.
